“The Death of The Centurion – A mystery story of the past” (Mystery, Historical, Short, 2024)
Synopsis: “When the young recruit Candidus is dispatched to the newly formed Roman Province Dacia, he is witnessing the strange and mystical death of the Centurion Cassius Liberius, in its fragile balance between reality and superstition.” Director Statement: “An adaptation of an urban legend heard from my father, which in turn was told to him by an elderly uncle, so a story with an oral history of 3 generations transposed somewhere in Roman antiquity of the II century in Dacia Province, in the wilderness of the Carpathians. A scenario premise that accompanied me for several years until I found the possibility of making it into a screen. In “Death of the Centurion” I wanted to create a particularly unclear, oppressive world, with a lot of action at night, with a Chiaroscuro cinematography of lights, shadows, fires, torches, candles(inspired by Georges de La Tour), a world in which the invader finds and keeps with difficulty the firmness of his convictions and strongly questions his personal spiritual universe in front of the local beliefs and events…” Watch film: http://reveel.film/WQDy0cxBwt4PfKB

“The Fourth Sunrise” (Arthouse, Sci-Fi, Feature, 2023)
Synopsis: “In 1992 the retired astronaut commander William Florescu relocates on shores of the Black Sea where he recollects his spatial experience from January 1962, when he took part to the pioneer U.S. “Genesis 1491″ Space Mission.” Director Statement: “I wanted to create an allegorical story about Space travel that seeks the possible foundation and meaning of the human existence. An antidote to nihilism. This is how the character astronaut William Florescu, an American of Romanian origins, was born. A prototype of the no border human dreamer since his childhood to old age. Everything else is a filmic metaphor of life which mix two of my passions. Both aesthetic and romantic: (the seaside scapes, with the infinite sea, the sun, the strong breeze) and the Astronautics science field (with it’s Space shuttles, the Retro visual designs of the ’60s, a lot of Space stuff details, atmos, Space scapes, etc.) A blend of my inner searches and the day by day findings. “The Fourth Sunrise” is the second part of the Arthouse feature movie “The Astronaut of God”, also having as main character the young astronaut William Florescu.” Watch film: https://fawesome.tv/movies/10556125/the-fourth-sunrise

William Florescu, an United States astronaut of Romanian origins is facing the strange events of fifth fly in the outer space, being one of the unknown pioneer of the Space conquest where he experience philosophical and emotional incidents.” Director Statement: The seek of the existential answers is a perpetual quest for the human being. In the dawn of Golden Age of Space exploration, in the ’60s, everything seemed possible. As a Romanian filmmaker I`ve made some connections between the main character and the Romanian culture. (like traditional philosophy ideas used in the dialogues or the name of main character which is rooted to Romania -Florescu). Watch film: https://watch.plex.tv/movie/the-astronaut-of-god

1. An 1969 poem of a Romanian schoolboy called “The Last Song for The Moon”, suggesting the demythisation and desacralisation of The Moon, starting with the first humans landing on moon.
2. The Columbia 2003 space shuttle crash, when a Texan farmer finds an astronaut helmet on his lands.
